| A self portrait that I won’t sell for less than a lot of money. This is a landmark painting I struggled through, but was rewarded by probably the most powerful and charismatic painting I’ve made. I painted this with the intention to remind myself of the great work I can do. It is a confidence-builder for an artist that can sometimes doubt oneself. It is based on a sculpture at the Garden Front of the Palace of Versailles. |
