| This is a commissioned portrait of another famous pathologist in our department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. This portrait was intended to accomplish two things – reveal that this man is a highly respected authority in his field, and display a few personal elements. The opened book reveals a photograph of his wife. The background painting is a watercolor I did of his Mississippi dock called “Crum’s landing”. He is essentially a professional fisherman, and the reel his wife gave him is on the back table. |
