However, before beholding the following works, erase any expectations you might have that you will encounter a consistent “style.” Like Ernst and Picasso, I tie myself to no singular style. Rather, I wish to arrest and disarm, to extract people from their lives so that they can, at least for a moment, exist entirely within the world of the painting. I want to share the experience of seeing as completely as if the viewer had been experiencing along with me. As my former art teacher,

Glenn Curtis, had once said, When you paint a pear, you want to paint a real pear that you can smell and taste… It should be falling out of the canvas.
